How and where to find good articles?

I know this is hilariously late considering the upcoming exams, but where can I get past news articles and how can I search for them effectively?
I've looked on sites such as herald sun, age, new.com.au, google news but it's difficult to find good articles that can plump up my media folio. Any one have any ideas?

I think the best way to find articles is to go through blogs related to language use. They generally have some posts related to language in the news.
Also macmillian dictionary has a series of blog post coming out evey week or so titled "language in the news" which can provide useful stuff. You can check it out here, http://www.macmillandictionaryblog.com
There is also a resource thread on this board which contains some other useful stuff

For Australian English, I'd recommend visiting Australian Geographic:
http://www.australiangeographic.com.au/search/search?query=australian%20accent

Even just going to Google and typing in the main keywords will render some good articles, however some of them may be dated.

Hope this helps :)
