On the 23rd of Dec me and my bro were fixing up his preferences. Hes a lazy cunt so he got me to do it for him. I told him to check through it like 3 times to make sure all the preferences were in the right order. He did and he said it was all good so we left it

goes like this
1. engineering -melbourne uni
2. engineering -monash uni
3. environmental SCIENCE -monash uni

no. 3 was sposed to say environmental ENGINEERING!
Now i feel terrible because he got offered environmental SCIENCE and the ones below that (no.4,5,6) he has a good enough ENTER to get into. (maybe not 4 but definetly no.5 which was science @ monash)

Turns out we didnt even put environmental engineering on his prefecnces at all

if you let someone else do something of such importance (basically your future) then you cant blame anyone else but yourself

what an idiot seriously.. i checked mine no less than 10 times, i was fucking paranoid that this situation could happen.. read every letter, triple checked the courses in course finder read every bit of text on the site.

Thing is, I didn't pick up on the mistake either. I knew his courses too and I didn't notice the mistake.

32. What is an irregular offer?

Irregular offers apply only to applicants who have submitted an application through VTAC. Irregular Offers are designed to give applicants a last chance to reconsider their course preferences. The Application for Irregular Offer form is available from VTAC.

Contact the selection officer for your chosen course at Monash University to discuss the likelihood of receiving an Irregular Offer. To be eligible you must meet the course prerequisites as stated in the VTAC guide.

You can apply for an Irregular Offer if you have:

    * Received an offer but want to be considered for a course listed lower on your preferences
    * Received an offer but want to apply for a course not listed on your preferences
    * Not received an offer and want to apply for a course not listed on your preferences
