exam scores for a 40

What mark out of 70 would you need to get a 40 or 40+??
my sac scores are a+ and a+ for units 3&4
At the moment I'm averaging 56 out of 70 on my practise exams and I'm worried it wont be enough to get a 40
Anyone know what kind of mark I should be aiming for???/
Im also ranked 1st or 2nd in my cohort

I did Legal last year and I got a 64 out of 70 on the exam and i got a 43 if that helps. My SAC scores were very similar to yours and I was ranked 2 or 3 in my cohort.

To be fair, it was a really, really, really easy exam. Where are the RODD discriminators damit haha.

No clue what happened to my SAC marks to be honest. I go to Suzanne Cory so our cohorts should be similar?.. My cohort was a lot smaller than yours though so that might have been the issue because we only had Year 11 last year.

Also I heard last years exam was easy from a few people I hope they dont consequently make this years exam really hard!!!

I think they might make it hard this year so make sure you do the difficult exams because last year the questions were really straightforward.

GA1 I got 97/100 GA2 I got ~65/100 because my teacher is a dick head.
Going to start studying on Friday and will hopefully learn all the content in 3-4 (5 hour days) days to start exams! Good old Tim Macdonald to save me!

Think a 59-61 should get you a 40 depending on the difficulty of the exam

As far as I remember 2010 was probably one of the most difficult I did , even though its the older study design most topics are still relevant.

good all timmy, speed tracking my legal studies learning so I can cram it in 10 days

Are there any sections for memory that require further learning? I don't know if my teacher was being anal as I wasn't using his vernacular in SACS in GA2, but when I fully became reliant on Tim I would get penalised for small things that he would leave out.

Any advice ?

Um I would trust your teacher over Tim unless there's something fundamentally wrong with what they're saying.

I watched Tim's podcasts, they were generic and didn't give marking schemes/ much depth/how to answer questions (which is the most important skill in LS), so they're good course revision but not something you want to rely on for exams entirely.

In terms of advice, do you have anything specific that you were worried about?

Oh. Do you have the A+ Notes guide book? That's really good, beats most people's notes tbh

He doesn't really have any holes in content but lacks depth I think and try not to copy his stuff word for word because the assessors know when you're rote-learning content. Oh, and ask questions in the LS question thread... a lot of people are willing to help you! it's definitely not too late to re-learn the course in 11 days, to be honest (generally speaking).
