Isn't -1/4ln(2) = 1/4ln(1/2)??
And in last question since as the angle increases, 5g/(cos(theta)) increases (denominator decreases), wouldn't 5g/cos(theta) be greater than 10g (98) for theta>pi/3??
Sorry, I mean 1/4 ln 2 instead of 1/2ln2, not 1/4 ln (1/2) - also, cos decreases as the angle increases (is it goes from 1 to 0)

I'm so curious as to how we were supposed to prove sec(theta)>tan(theta) mathematically......????

The way I interpreted was that T1>T2 then subbing in your answers from the previous two questions would lead to tan(theta)<sec(theta)
What do people reckon the A+ cut off would be for this year? I'm hoping lower than last (38/40) as there were several annoying arithmetic questions and some subtle traps. Did anyone else realise the restricted domain of the graph?

Do you reckon it's enough to show that sec(theta) = tan (theta) at theta = pi/2 then show in that interval tan theta is less then sec theta . And as theta has to be greater than 0, theta is between 0 and pi/2 for tan theta is less then sec theta

exactly so 1/cos(theta) increases

 I completely stuffed up the 2nd question. I thought the angle would be square root (3/2) as i did value of k over value of i. Is that 2 marks completely off?

Probably should be fine if it was just for the fixed interval (0,pi/2]. It also depends on how you showed it, and what the question said.

I asked my stupid exam supervisor for a blank exam (so i could post it and let one of the freaks on the site do it) and she said "im not allowed to give you one' - whattaa bishhh obviously she can
