For the first one I said it was formal with levels of informality and provided evidence for both formality and informality.

I walked out and I thought I did average, but maybe I did alright.
Section A seemed to be somewhat tame and they didn't go crazy with many of questions.
There are a couple of questions I feel nervous about now after reading this thread.

My commentary was really average (maybe even below average) though... I had not really prepared for that kind of commentary.. I was expecting more formal/ informal text, where there is only one speaker/ writer. I found it to somewhat strange.. I was expecting more use of discourse particles....there were barely any.. (Maybe there were 1-2).

The essay...Q8 is what I have been preparing for the past 2 months... I had so many examples.... I hadto relax at that point and gather my thoughts because I knew everything about the topic. The essay topics were really good and fair imo The stimulus for Q8 was a bit meh..but I still was able to use it within my essay

haha, I guess my paragraphs didn't really relate to the three (which could be a bad thing)

The thing is... I've never found stimulus to be good, so maybe that's just me.

I did not like the extended response/section B, it felt like there was so much was going on in that text so I think my writing was all over the place :c
Liked the essay topics though...
Anyone do question 9?

I agree that section B was tough. But section C was generous to compensate and section A wasn't easy but was direct and straight forward Id you knew your stuff I think.

I did essay qn 10 (taboo)

For the language analysis I said the social purpose was to inform, entertain and to commemorate. I wasn't sure. I agree that there was a shit load of going on and very difficult to cover and write a structures response

Could someone clear up the social purpose section B's text served?

Section B's text served a dual informative and ceremonial function whilst also containing humourous discourse. This can be seen through the transient register from the formal introduction of the Navy Fleet Review to the informal elements of Mooney's segment.

3) Phonological patterning in "high-pi", rhyme. Said something like because it's a neologism-ish and it's catchy and more memorable and kinda entertaining
Hmm.. I referred to the capitals in "REAL" which reflects an increase in volume and stress on the word... I hope they accept that.
