Are these good subjects?

Subjects for year 11 2015
-English Language 1/2
-Physics 1/2
-Specialist Maths 1/2
-Italian 1/2
-Latin 1/2
-Maths Methods 3/4

Should I be doing chemistry? I am doing physics because some people have told me that it is really easy when you do it with specialist maths.
I believe these subjects are quite complementary but will I be under a lot of pressure as they are all quite difficult? Let me know what you think

Looks good to me :) although that's quite a heavy workload, especially with two LOTEs to deal with in year 12.
Chemistry is a prerequisite for many university courses; namely, science, biomedical science, biomedicine, medicine etc. So I think you should definitely take that into consideration.
Specialist won't necessarily help you with physics, and perhaps the opposite is true (kinematics comes into mind).

Okay, but then why are you doing specialist maths?

Can't say you're in for a particularly relaxed couple of years, but you certainly have the makings of a towering aggregate. Just make sure you're able to cope with the workload of two advanced maths, and two LOTEs. Each one of these is a time sink in itself. Do you have any experience with either of those languages? It sometimes is advisable to pick an easier subject, with lower scaling, but if you're comfortable, go for it!

If I were to drop a subject it would be specialist maths, but I do love maths and did really well in methods 1/2 this year (equal top in the final exam) so I thought it would be good to do.

I am very strong at languages and I believe latin and italian complement eachother very nicely.

So should I be thinking of dropping specialist for chemistry? I love chemistry too so it wouldn't be a hard thing to do. However would this lighten my workload at all? Or am I still in for hell?

On second thoughts.. which is harder physics or chemistry?

I can't change out of specialist maths but I can change from physics to chemistry.  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

I need chemistry to do veterinary science!!

I need chemistry to do veterinary science!!

Then do chemistry.
Honestly, this one sentence should have decided it for you. I really don't see how this could still be up for discussion if chem is a pre-req for you.

In that case, I'd drop physics for chemistry.

Okay then should I drop specialist maths or physics ?

which do you think (I am a pretty smart person going to a top private school) will get me a better ATAR if I study hard and do reasonably well?

Definitely go with Specialist if you're confident mathematically, as it eclipses Physics in terms of scaling.

But do you think dropping specialist will lighten my load so I can do well in methods 3/4 and my languages?

thanks for the help

Hmm.. Spesh will actually make Methods easier for you, and if you can grasp concepts easily, I don't think Spesh will be too demanding. This is particularly true considering its course content is less than Methods.
But I've got to admit, 2 LOTEs is a lot. How confident are you in them?

very confident in my languages. I was top in my school for both of them this year.

I think I might keep specialist because it will help me with methods.

No such thing as a good subject. As long as you enjoy them, that's all you should be concerned about really :)
