So, if I did the best on the exams and rank 2 in SAC's, I would take the 2nd ranks exam score for my SAC's? :S

Well after some slight statistical moderation, yeh, pretty much AFAIK.

yeah a 62.5 which is low a+ i think....???? paired with a high a+ end of year could probs easily get you above 45

62.5=definitely a low A+
i spot a 1 mark question where the markers marked it wrong(both of them), and i should have gotten the mark!!!
it was q 5g, and i wrote Phagocytosis......  (which is endocytosis, except for solids...)

Yea that's what they teach you at tsfx, I however decided to stick with convention and wrote endocytosis to avoid your situation :P

I think that's because phagocytosis more refers to the ingestion of larger solid particles such as on a more cellular level such as bacteria, viruses, debris from lysed cells etc, as opposed to biomacromolecules. If it referred to the ingestion of protein molecules as in the diagram, almost anything could be classified as phagocytosis given that there's usually some solutes in the ECF.

thats gay, my bio teacher once said that "phagocytosis" is more accurate than "endocytosis", when its ANY solid grrrrrrr...... >:(

wikipedia
Types
There are three main types of endocytosis that are distinguished by the size of the vesicle formed and the cellular machinery involved.

Phagocytosis (literally, cell-eating) is the process by which cells ingest large objects, such as cells which have undergone apoptosis, bacteria, or viruses. The membrane invaginates enclosing the wanted particles in a pocket, then engulfs the object by pinching it off, and the object is sealed off into a large vacuole known as a phagosome.
Pinocytosis (literally, cell-drinking). This process is concerned with the uptake of solutes and single molecules such as proteins. Both phagocytosis and pinocytosis are non-receptor-mediated forms of endocytosis, and may result in the cell engulfing non-specific or unwanted particles.
Receptor-mediated endocytosis is a more specific active event where the cytoplasm membrane folds inward to form coated pits. In this case, proteins or other trigger particles lock into receptors/ ligands in the cell’s plasma membrane. It is then, and only then that the particles are engulfed. These inward budding vesicles bud to form cytoplasmic vesicles. This process may also result in engulfing of unwanted particles, however not to the extent of pino/phagocytosis.

Wait how do you know if you got a low, medium or high mark once you have your score out of 75 or whatever it was?
I don't have mine yet, but when I do get it, how will I deduce my position from what I'm given?
