but in terms of native japanese doing sl, its only if they grew up here for a certain period
like how ABC all do csl lols

and natives examiners are good!! you can use shortened terms, バスケ instead of バスケットボール and 数A instead of 数学A

I think the non-natives get easily intimidated.
If you speak with confidence and do most of the talking, it will basically be a conversation with the native japanese person.

For your Oral, did you have to memorise stuff? or were you able to just research a bit and basically wing it? I was curious as to whether the pr0 people have to rely on memorisation at all or just rely on leet jap talking skills to get them through. I intend to memorise huge chunks of text and regurgitate based on the question, rephrasing bits if really necessary.

I'm aware of his JLPT2 and living in Japan for a year. Obviously I wouldn't wing an exam, but I was just wondering if he did, just relying on his leet skillz instead of having to memorise >_> I have to rely on memorisation, but I wanted to know whether those with the super high scores (i.e. airline) use memorisation as well, or just do it "on the spot" kinda thing.

That's true, a lot of people do it. I recommend you do it so you can fit in more content :)

Any recommendations on how much you should say before you let them ask you a question? I'm referring to the discussion section here. 2-3 sentences then pause or a whole paragraph or what?

Oh, in regards to the whole shortening thing... I don't see any problem in saying 自販機 (じはんき) instead of 自動販売機 (じどうはんばいき) from time to time. As long as you explain that it is a shortened form in your intro. Damattore yours was on 自動販売機, so what do you think? What did you do?

Ahhk. I was intending on just saying in my intro somewhere 自販機は自動販売機のりゃくです。

Then again, I like the sound of this time wasting thing :P

after your intro, they will ask you a question or they'll be like <topic> について話してください。

Speaking exam is closing in D: how's everyone going?

But in all honesty, I'd have to agree with you in all regards.

General Conversation の内容は前より、いつも違うので、何を言うか100パーセントに予測出来ない。............Detailed study has at least some structure to it.

But overall, it's going pretty good :D Not too long now...So scary!!!
