Hey guys!
Figured we may as well just have an extra board here instead of having different questions scattered around the place.
So to clear things up: yes, we are charging for notes. The reason notes weren't mentioned at all in any of our advertisements or anything like that is because we weren't sure whether we would be able to make them free or not, so we didn't mention them while we tried to figure it out. As things turned out, it wasn't possible to make them free, and everyone attending the lectures will get an email reminding them about the lecture and notifying them that notes will be for sale. This is why there's been some confusing - people who have been to Spesh obviously got this email, but everyone else has sort of been unintentionally 'left in the dark'. Methods, Spec and English cover the whole year within the notes, and the other subjects are just Unit 3 (but still sizeable... 70+ pages for Biol, Physics, English... close to that for Chem, and 50 pages or so for Business and Health).
It is not necessary to buy the notes for the lectures to be helpful, but the notes will certainly be helpful in and of themselves. Notes are being sold for $20, and lecturers = authors.
As said, we'll be emailing everyone quite soon.
Spesh was on Monday and went off really well, attendees will get an email asking for their feedback likely at the end of the lecture series. Thushan's Chemistry lecture is next up, this Monday.
I think that should answer any questions. Feel free to ask a question here, or if you have specific questions about a lecture, you can make a new thread or anything like that. Cheers guys
