You can get well over 80 with just 3 subjects theoretically. So don't sweat it.

I'll try not to continue freaking out! Thankyou:)

If it helps, I would still have gotten the same ATAR without my uni physics and physics scores, putting me on 5 3/4s in total.
2012
Mathematical Methods (50) Chinese SL (45~52)

2013
English Language (50) Chemistry (50) Specialist Mathematics (49~54.9) Physics (49) UMEP Physics (96%) ATAR 99.95

2014-2016: University of Melbourne, Bachelor of Science, Diploma in Mathematical Sciences (Applied Maths)

2017-2018: Master of Science (Applied Mathematics)

2019-2024: PhD, MIT (Applied Mathematics)

Accepting students for VCE tutoring in Maths Methods, Specialist Maths and Physics! (and university maths/physics too) PM for more details

It does help actually, but i'm doubting my capability to get in the 40's for every subject. :(
You did awesome though!

I know someone who only did 4 subjects with limited scaling and still got 97.45. Anything is possible in VCE, but there's little room for error because all four subjects are fully-counted into your ATAR. There's no back-up option if you didn't do as well as you hoped/stuffed up one of your subjects.

Doing four subjects is also not recommended because it doesn't cater for breath in subject choice.

Only 3 of my subjects scaled above 30 and I got 88.50.
2012 ATAR - 86.75
2013 ATAR - 88.50
2014: BSci (Statistics) at RMIT
2015 - 2017: BCom at UoM

If you're happy with your methods score from last year being in your top 4, then don't do further (unless you want to it for some reason), just focus on current subjects. Reason being is that you can't have 3 maths subjects being counted in your top 4, so you don't really benefit much plus getting a really high score in Further ( 48+) may be harder than you think even you are a strong student.

If you happen to be aiming on the really high end of the spectrum (99.00+), doing a sixth subject is useful to gain a few extra aggregate points.
