So my interview went really well, the people in my group were really nice ( there was one person from haileybury and another from glen waverley and so on...) my group didnt finish the first task however we all contributed and for the second task i talked a lot and led my team to the solution. In my opinion the bees/flies one was more fun compared to the disease one. I was able to solve the maths problem solving task (it was the bridge one) and in the final 1 on 1 interview i talked a lot and i was passionate (maybe a bit too much :P) but i got the principal and i was so nervous at the start but the principal seemed really nice and it developed into a nice conversation. How did all of you guys go? And does anyone know how many marks each part is worth or how they are broken and which parts were the major ?

Thanks and lets hope everyone on this forum makes it into jmss! :)

My interview went not quite well today. I participated in the group interview but however I was not the leader.I gave the group some suggestions but I don't whether I am a suitable candidate for them. I stuff up the calculation in the maths question and didn't have enough time to finish the second question. For my individual interview, it went quite well and I answered the questions completely and I enjoyed have the conversation with her. She also said my results in my school.report were quite consistant.I also presented my leadership and co curriculam certificate.  I really worry that I can't get in. Yes Worries.

Hey.

One of my guy friends ask some really weird questions..?

Basically,
Does JMSS check all the information that we give them with our current schools?

I personally don't think that they do, but then again anyone could make up anything.

But then...

So do they check??

hey guys,

I saw quite a few nervous year 9s at school the last few days. I hope your interviews went well and that you had some medals and High Distinctions to show off. Don't worry if you don't finish any of the puzzles as I did not finish any of them (both the group ones and the personal challenge) and still got a first round offer, but I do admit my portfolio was pretty good.

They probably don't check an idk if they really care about you asking the question. Though, it may've been better not to ask such a weird question  ;D

Yeah, there are different questions.

I can tell you that the interview and your portfolio are the most important parts of the entire process. The other parts are just to see if you can work in a team and problem solve.

Good luck and remember that half of you will get in!

I'm really nervous about this egh I think I did okay in the interview but I didn't speak for a long time? Like everybody seemed to be talking for ages but I got all my information out and just got it over and done with hah (okay most of my info I forgot one thing about my scientist but the interviewer knew who it was so he remembered it which was a blessing omg) eh idk it's putting me off what if I didn't say enough? The interviewer seemed to think it was okay and had to shut me up once so idk if I'm just making this up but....

everyone who gets in, gets an email on the last day of term 3. I don't think unsuccessful candidates will be notified at all.

Guys it clearly says on the JMSS enrolment policy that the applicant will receive advice of the outcome BY 11 September 2015.
