OMG WOW! That's so good, you definitely deserve it :)) Goodluck in your interview, it's really fun so don't stress and be your best self! btw good job for being so patient all the while aha I would have gone crazy!

Thank you!! I thought the fact that I didn't get an email meant I didn't get an interview so I just went with that, so you can imagine how happy I was when I heard that I did in fact get one XD

Just a question for those that go to JMSS, if you were to choose maths methods unit 1 & 2 in year 10 as an accelerated subject, would you need to have gotten a superior on maths and numerical reasoning on the JMSS entrance test? Does the same thing also apply to the accelerated science subjects or can everyone just do it?
Ty
I'd like to go a bit more further in-depth with Shinkaze's post:

Indeed it doesn't matter what you got for the entrance exam to get into the Methods accelerated class since you have to take another test to get into Methods 1&2 (which to be honest, isn't really difficult however for others, we can chat more after you've gotten into JMSS). However I stress to everybody to apply for Methods as it is a really great class (from experience here) and it's just with Year 10's and no Year 11's which is awesome too!

There's no accelerated science subjects other than Physics Unit 2 however I can vouch for the science electives to be greater than whatever 1&2 can teach you (that is some electives will be teaching things in Unit 3&4). For example, there's a science elective which is pretty much Unit 3 Chemistry but explores it outside the VCE context a bit which I would have liked if I had the chance to go back and pick it since it sounds awesome (and many others too)! Most science electives will be teaching you Unit 3&4 content now after feedback from previous years which is a good thing for all of you!

I just wanted to ask. Just like Maths methods 1 and 2 are there any other advanced subjects and if so do we have to give a test for it?

Only Methods 1&2 (which you need to sit a test for) and Physics Unit 2 (no test but choose as a subject during course counselling) as an elective however other physics electives offered by JMSS will be sufficient for Physics 3&4 if you choose to do them (and the result show for it here and if you look in previous years as well).

But as I have stated in my previous post, advanced subjects won't generally be the norm at JMSS since most of the electives and such will cover most things adequately and go further beyond 1&2 so don't sweat too much on it!

Hey guys! My interview was... meh. XD

There was another girl waiting there, but I didn't have the group interview nor the problem solving thing. I had like a 15 minute interview with the principal and the vice principal (I think it was the vice principal... not sure XD).

Idk if I did good or not, how long do we have to wait until the results?
