Thanks xD

Happy to see my prediction was on point with the backline and absolutely loved Jones late run in the midfield (bit of a mongrel that one)! Unfortunate about the missed set shots by your forwards and missed snaps but Scott will have something to work with this week no doubt! All happy that there's no injuries today!

Yeah, i'm not going to be one of those 'BUT ITS THE UMPIRES FAULT!!!', because Swans were clearly better tonight. It's 1 loss, we're still on top, no big deal. Our forwards were very quiet tonight and I was screaming once again at my TV because of their stupid decision making. Anywaayyyy.... well done!

(Jeez, that umpires thing really gets on my nerves whenever a team loses).

Yeah sometimes people are a bit too salty with the umpiring (see free kick count for Bulldogs vs. Crows this year). Sure they're expected to try and get things right and they'll be some blunders as well (50m to Sydney from Thomas was interesting LOL).

I'm more interested how they'll judge dropping of the knees with these frees for high tackles (since they're predominantly just focussing on their upper body with ducking of the head an emphasis to not awarding the free as seen here).

It's quite unfair how the focus is on Lindsay Thomas from last nights match. Okay, as a NM supporter i'll be the first to admit that he does it.... but it's not like he's the only one that does it. I can also recall the Swans got pinned for something similar during the game as well...... I'm sure I can list quite a few players that duck as well. Very unfair criticism of NM overall tbh.

Melbourne 2016 reminds me a lot of Melbourne 2011.

Geelong loses to Collingwood last week, and Carlton this week = premiership tag remains
North Melbourne loses to Sydney at the SCG = pretenders

How funny.

Geelong's been up and around there for years. North hasn't.

When North is a top side for the best part a decade and there are still doubters, then complain :P

I think it's more highlighted with Thomas since the result of his free = set shot for goal compared to midfielders who get a free kick for high contact which just = possession most of the time... Luckily Swans only have one real player who cops high contact quite often (Hewett but is a gem) otherwise no real standouts imo.

Mix it up with hype brewed by Victorian media on AFL + it doesn't help that you have Eddie voicing his concerns on the radio/Fox too (tbh most AFL personalities tend to be a bit bias :P )

Definitely one of the better matches. That ground must've been super slippery to have the stretcher called multiple times

I can't believe I haven't linked this yet, but I spend the majority of my life worshipping The Squiggle.

Thank me later.

I like their season forecast :-) Says Syd v NM grand final !

How accurate it is, I have no idea. :P

It's entirely accurate in that it reflects what the statistics say. Historically, it's a pretty good tipper, and has a number of algorithms that it runs off.

It updates live during games. Before tonight, it had North finishing 8th, so the top 8 is obviously ridiculously bunched at the moment. If ever you get time, read this 270 page thread. It's my favourite thing ever.

I definitely like the squiggle, thanks for the share.

I don't see Travis Cloke staying at Collingwood after this season (whether he gets traded/leaves, or retires)

To get dropped from two big games (ANZAC & Queens), that's embarassing.

In other news: looking forward to the Cats v North game on Sat night :D

Yeah I see Cloke moving on but probably staying within Victoria rather than move out to Fremantle (though the prospect of Fremantle snagging Cloke and eventually McCarthy would give Fremantle a much improved forward line with Pavlich possibly retiring end of year and Mayne moving on but they'd have to work on his defensive pressure).

Either way, Cloke will still make around $500K since you massive forwards don't exactly grow on trees (despite the game now favouring tall, mobile forwards).

There goes my tipping margin... tipped 65 points and was still nearly 50 short.
