Absolutely incredible match. Atmosphere was amazing at the G. Just the joy on people's faces when for the first time in decades they had a little hope.

Good team effort the win itself. I don't feel like we really relied on Dusty, although he was bloody dangerous with ball in hand. A lot of our second tier players really put in good performances.
Cotchin was pretty bloody good too, particularly in the first quarter. He was extremely hard at it, which I think helped the boys lift.

God, it must have been incredible. I remember the joy when North beat Essendon in 2014 for our first finals win in like, a while, it was crazy. Can't imagine what it must have been like with 60,000 people experiencing the same thing :O

It's pretty rubbish isn't it, that Richmond cop the advantage despite finishing lower? I mean, if I were the AFL, I'd hold it at the MCG as well but yeah... bit dog, isn't it?

Especially when next week's match w/ GWS is being played at Spotless.

It's pretty unfair. Did you notice the ratio of Richmond to Geelong supporters in the crowd. It was basically a Richmond home game when you think about it...

(although i'm not complaining. Richmond winning works out well for me  )

I agree. Amazing spectacle but at the same time I think holding it at the MCG diminishes the integrity of the game. That's a serious home advantage and the cats earned it.


Our local newspaper down here was fucking savage about the cats too. Last week the front cover was of some woman who had knitted cats jumpers for her chickens, then today they just tore shreds.
