Derrick Ha Englang essay book reviews?

Hey guys, considering buying Derrick's book of language essays and I'm after a review by someone who has it. Is it really that helpful? How thorough are the annotations/comments? Is it much better than just plain essays (like the ones on here) because of the extra stuff (self review, feedback, crossed out para's etc)
