Competitive STAT score? mid year entry?

I plan on applying for UoM mature aged entry. The website indicates a STAT score of 150-155 is the minimum for entry, but you'll need a competitive score. What score would be considered competitive?

I have heard mid-year entry is more competitive, how much so? I was planning on meeting a subject prerequisite through either VCE or Unilearn (Unilearn allows me to complete the subject in time for mid-year entry).
