Hey guys, i'm having trouble with the probability section of this subject, is anyone willing to help for this question of the assignment?

Scientists on the planet Glamtron have determined that every millennia, an
average of 150 killer asteroids will strike the planet, causing chaos and
devastation upon its glamorous inhabitants. You are the reigning Queen of the
Glamazons and you wish to predict the number of asteroid strikes occurring
over the next 1000 years of your rule.
(a) Let X be a random variable that represents the number of asteroid strikes
over the course of a millennia. Write down the probability distribution
function of X and compute its expected value and standard deviation. (2
Marks)

I don't really get how you can get a distribution function without given probabilities o_o and standard deviation from expected value?
