Thoughts on neap?

I just did the 2014 neap practise exam. I got a lot of the questions wrong (it's been my worst exam so far!)

What are your thoughts on neap? Are the questions genuinely similar to the VCAA exam and should I add them to my bound reference??

Don't worry too much about Neap, their exams do tend to be on the more difficult side. You're better off focusing on MAV, Heffernan and Insight. Especially since students tend to lose marks for being careless rather than being unable to answer a question in VCAA exams (this is generally true at the top end).

Also, I don't think I even attempted a single Neap exam back when I was doing Further. I remember looking through them and thinking that some of the questions were just irrelevant.

Basically this^

I did do Neap as it was prescribed at my school, and honestly their questions are of a much higher standard than VCAA (I think I averaged about 33ish/40 for Neap exam ones, and 48ish/60 for exam twos). Most of what they ask won't even be on the actual exam, so I definitely echo intel's thoughts in this sense.

Perhaps if you are going to do them- do them untimed, and it honestly depends on how you use your bound reference book, but personally I didn't bother with writing out Neap mistakes (probably because there was so many haha)..

I'm sure you'll do great :)

How many practise exams have you done and how many are you thinking of doing?
