I would like to major in economics, and do as much econometrics and statistics as possible (it would be even better if I could do a second major in either econometrics or statistics).

Depends what you want to do afterwards, academia or industry? If the former, I suggest a Bsc with a major in mathematical statistics and do as much as applied mathematics units as possible. Second option would be a Bcomm with econometrics major, although I'd highly suggest the Bsc pathway for academia.
PhD @ MIT (Economics).

Interested in asset pricing, econometrics, and social choice theory.

The dream for me is a job in the treasury, so what would you recommend for me then? :)

You could also consider doing a Bachelor of Economics if you aren't interested in the compulsory subjects that a BCom makes you do. In fact, I would probably recommend a BEc with a major in 'Econometrics and business statistics' and fill the rest of your units with subjects offered from the Economics faculty. You could then use your electives to major in mathematics or statistics from the Science faculty if you wished, or major in straight 'Economics' (which would be easy because you would have already done half the units required to complete this major through the compulsory units of the BEc). I would recommend this route over a Bachelor of Commerce if you have your heart set on economics and mathematics.
