Chinese SL/SLA writing format HELP

Hey everyone,
So at XJS Chinese school, there are very specific writing formats to adhere to. For example, a persuasive piece for SL would be something like 3 5 5 5 3
However I tend to go over the limit quite a lot, and my teacher said it was alright as long as it was within a 1 line range. (If I wrote 4 lines for intro that would be OK but not 5 since I'm in SL)

Is this true for the actual exam? Will I be marked down for going over?

no, you now don't get marked down for going over the word count. And I'm not too sure but I looked at high range essays provided by my teachers from XJS Chinese school and to be honest, most of them used more than one sheet of paper (For SLA though so it may be a little different) but yes using more than one sheet of paper is way over word count and they can still get 19/20.

TLDR; it doesn't matter as long as you have good point

It doesn't matter as long as you have addressed all the required content and background information, i wrote 700 words for my essay in last year's exam and i scored full marks  for that section
