Bridging courses

Just wondering how bridging courses work?
I dropped chemistry due to a really sub-par teacher, but I still have thoughts about going into med.
I know most courses require chemistry as a pre-req, but I was wondering if I would be able to do a bridging course and still get into med without VCE in yr12?
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure from Monash that is not allowed, might be best to email individual faculties of unis you're interested in because it seems like a question that wouldn't come up many times.
