Physics exam 2k15

How did everyone find it?

I thought it was pretty straightforward, most of the calculations were easy.

beat me to it

yeah found it pretty easy, except there were a few worded q's that were longer than previous years, especially that 4 marks lenz's law one

how did you manage to bs 3 marks worth of discussion only about lenz's law??

I'm not sure what the question was, but I always followed a formula for answering questions regarding Lenz's law:
- 1 mark for stating the law
- 1 mark for stating the change in flux
- 1 mark for then using Lenz's law by stating the direction of the induced magnetic field
- 1 mark for then using the right-hand-grip-rule and stating the direction of the induced current.

Pretty much what I did - I used up all the lines there

Yes, it was X to Y through the voltmeter. Y to X through the loop, but that's not what the question asked.

Damnit, that's what I mucked up.

Do you think I still could get 3/4 if I stated that the current was counter clockwise around the loop, and Lenz law and all that?

Man I got diagrams and everything going in that Lenz's Law question. Good exam I found, relatively straightforward. I finished with half an hour to go. One thing I did find silly was the question regarding the wave nature of an electron, and then the question directly afterwards asking you to explain, again, basically the same rubbish.
