What do Julian Burnside, Joost Bakker, Kevin Sheedy and Stephanie Alexander have in common?
festival21 is coming to Melbourne. A celebration of the world’s most precious commodity, food, this free event will land at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday 11 December 2015. festival21 welcomes all Victorians for discussions around food and its vital role in solving society’s greatest challenges. We will bring people together to discuss where our food comes from, and how fixing our food systems is key to sustainability, combating climate change and improving our health.
The festival’s evening event will begin at 7pm and feature music, comedy, short films, keynotes, panel discussions, and an opportunity to support inspiring local social enterprise. Speakers include:

Coinciding with the United Nations climate talks in Paris – a key opportunity to make a global commitment to combat climate change – festival21 will explore how food and the way we eat can be the key to a sustainable, healthy future.
