You should examine all your exams in case there was a mistake when correcting or incorrect submission of SACs (there was a student in my school in 2013 who scored 99.85 and found a mistake in one of their exams and was bumped to 99.90 and also on AN there was lznxl who had incorrect SAC submissions for Methods if I recall correctly bumping them from 46 to 50).

Its okay man, i feel disappointing too. I know how you feel and i feel the same way, and a deep part of me wants to blame something or someone and at the end of the day its not worth it. We need to accept where we are and move on. I didnt get below 85 but i still feel like shit for some reason. I set the bar too high and i have missed it.

Congratulations everyone on a fantastic year! If there was a study score for hard work, I'm sure you'd all get a 50.. raw! Just remember not to let a number define you. Kindness, generosity, hard work and perseverance will get you much much much farther in life than this ATAR ever will.

On a side note: I can't believe I got a 50 in Food Technology!

It isn't enough for medicine... You need 99.6+ for that  :-[

Not true. These days the median is around 99.6 for metro applicants, that is to say half of people who get in do indeed get below that.

I've just received a 78 and am trying to get into an architecture course I'm wondering if any think that this is enough for acceptance to monash, I've gone through the interview and pre-selection already.
Was really hoping for 85 for a clearly-in to melbourne as a back up. Any monash uni students to cheer me up?

Grats all round!

Specialist: 35  :'( :'( :'(
Methods: 44.

Totally devastated. Should have been higher but was thrown off by Methods Exam 2 which had an impact on Spec because I was just still traumatised from Methods.

Went from getting A+'s all year to an A for GA1 and a B+ for GA2&3.

Now I have 23kgs of math exams I have to dispose of. Since I screwed up my study score courtesy of the shocker that was their Methods exam 2, thereby diminishing any hopes I had of a 99+ atar, do you think they'll do my recycling for me?

Well looks like I might have some hope... I hope I at least get a call from JCU or UTAS. Monash seems unlikely. thanks for the heads up though :)

Hey, does anyone know if Year 11s get a statement of their result in the mail - or do you only get one with your ATAR?
