I think you're referring to a concurrent Diploma? I'm not doing one, but friends who do manage fine. It's because they love what they do and that works well for them. I'm sure you'll have no troubles whatsoever.

Yeah I am- do those friends overload though? Is there a way to complete the diploma concurrently without overloading and still finish both in 6 years (I've been told BMedSci is almost mandatory addition to CVs for application after degree) ? Also in clinical years does this mean they'll still learn the dip units on campus?

They mainly overloaded in third year (not sure if units were on campus or not, but I'd assume they weren't), which is ideal as the workload isnt very high in third year. Very do-able They also did summer units IIRC, including some overseas stints after fourth year.

A BMedSci definitely isn't almost mandatory, who told you that? Less than 25% of the year opts to do one (although places are capped at 75). As I said somewhere earlier, what you do in your undergraduate degree (including UoM MD) hardly matters for specialisation, it will only really aid you in internships and maybe early residency.
