Assuming 1x1x1 blocks. Hollow volume = (8-2)*(5-2)*(6-2) = 72 blocks.

Try looking at a simple 3x3x3 structure that is hollow. If it wasn't, it would contain 3*3*3 = 27 blocks. But if it was hollow, we would find the hollow volume by subtracting the blocks that make each face from each direction, ie. the hollow section would be (3-2)*(3-2)*(3-2) = 1 block. Always helps to break things down into something super simple for questions like this.

Hello everyone!
So there's only less than two days until the exam for Macrob/Melbourne High/Suzanne Corie and Nossal.
How is everyone preparing?

Good luck!  :)
Last year this was the kind of stuff covered:
- Algebra
- Factorising
- Linear Graphs
- Pythagoras
- Measurement (circles in terms of pi)
- And the last 10 questions were all trigonometry in terms on sin/cos/tan

Good luck to you too. The only test I believe I'd struggle with is Numerical Reasoning, and maybe the persuasive essay.

I reckon it was okay but the Numerical Reasoning was just so......hard. I thought it was going to be okay but that was the hardest for me as there were so manylong questions.
