A research hypothesis is part of research methods as it's constructing a hypothesis.
Really anything to do with a hypothesis is part of research methods because research methods are part of everything. If that all makes sense :P
Hope this helps

To simplify it:

A research hypothesis directs research. Think of it as a central statement that drives everything you do in the study.

It's a research method because it assists the researcher in figuring out what to study and how.

Hope this helps.  :)
