Calculus 1 required for Physics 1?

Hi, I will commence the Bachelor of Commerce this year. I only have 1 spare subject slot for first year and I was considering Physics 1 as a breadth subject. However the handbook states that 'Students who have not completed the equivalent of VCE Unit 3/4 Specialist Mathematics are encouraged to enroll in MAST10005 Calculus 1 concurrently with Physics 1.' Additionally I did not do Specialist Maths in high school. So my question is, will I struggle too much without the calculus knowledge supposedly 'required' to complete and do well in Physics 1? And, how much of the Physics 1 course involves calculus? Thanks, any responses are appreciated.

If I remember correctly, there's a bunch of vector manipulation and whatnot that I think is covered in Specialist Maths/Calc 1 but not in Methods. You probably wouldn't struggle to pass, but you might struggle to do well. That being said, you can still enroll and check out the class for the first few weeks before making a decision.
