about calculator assumed tests...

Quick question...say for example u were doing the calculator assumed section of a methods exam/question and u got a question that was like 3 or 3+ marks but u could do the whole thing on ur calculator real quickly- would the teacher give u all the marks if u just wrote the answer...since u did it all of ur calculator? or what I'm asking is what's the etiquette of approaching these type of questions?

I would appreciate any enlightenments  :) thanks in advance  :D

Write working, but not calc notation. If its 1 mark, no working is required, anything above there will be methods marks.

Don't write Calc Notation ex. Solve(x^2+3=0,x)
Instead just write x^2+3=0
then x=+/- bla bla

So basically I assume that you write everything as you would on the calc in your working but omit the calc notations? Got confused as heck during 1/2 calc exams due to this, flabbergasted bywhat to write..
