Hello
so I am really confused about an aspect of my Mod A essay, King Richard III, i was hoping to get it looked over and have some questions answered, but im also not sure if this thread gives feedback on specific essay. is it possible for it to be done? any help is highly appreciated  :)

Hi! Post in our marking and feedback section ;D

Hi, I have encountered this question for Mod C (representing people and politics) and I'm not sure if I am grasping it correctly:

It is politics that shapes the individual, the individual does not shape politics. Evaluate this statement with detailed reference to your prescribed text and at least ONE other related text of your own choosing.

I am confused as to how I should define 'shape'.
Thanks! :)

Hey! Shape in this context means to define, influence, impact - So what this question is saying is that political situations define how individuals act and think, rather than the individuals actually determining politics.

Colloquially, I guess you could think of it like this - Aussie politicians aren't inherently immature people who don't get any work done, politics turns them that way ;)

What technique can be used in this quote?

"The voices that speak.. are the voices of the unheard."

Thankyou!

Thank you Jamon! Also, for module A, I'm doing Mrs Dalloway and The Hours. As part of the question in the 2016 paper, they provide extracts of both texts and ask you to 'Discuss this view with detailed reference to the extracts below and your pair of prescribed texts'. Given the picture from the film and the book extract, will it be detailed enough to have a paragraph on each, or will each paragraph need to reference the given stimulus? Thanks again :)

You could mention the use of repetition of "the voices" and how it is symbolic of giving a voice to the "unheard" in society.

https://thsconline.github.io/s/?landing this is a decent site with a whole bunch of trial papers
but for the hsc papers, unless your school held onto some old ones and sent them to you, you're somewhat out of luck

Just some techniques pleassee....
“Life is too short to be spent in nursing animosity, or registering wrongs”
“her feminism thought starts to sprout from her fighting her poor child life”
both quotes are for a Jane Eyre essay....

Highly highly doubt it. If it is, it could be an extract like 2016 from one of the more common ones (eg death be not proud over the apparition) It's more focused on the connections between the texts, where the poetry is a text as a whole
