why do we have to be racist? whether you are asian or not, some other asians may not necessarily find your opinion 'funny', or educational. how about we strive to end racism in education and intelligence, and dont even tell me it does not exist, because it does.

His comment might not have been intentionally racist.  Anything anyone says can be deemed offensive, but hey we live in a democracy, so as adults, move on. No need to start an argument.

In reality, you guys should all go watch One Punch Man.

It takes genuinely around 5 hours of your time (if you skip the opening and ending music), and you'll be rewarded with a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

There is nothing like it

Hey wizard,
firstly thanks for the advice!  :)
just wandering, what do you mean by 1000 words- like practice essays?
and on the weekend how much did/would you study? was it more than the 3 hours+1000 words?

Thankyou  :D

By writing I mean any form of writing in general. For me it will me writing study blog, study notes and posting here on AN. For you practice essay will seem appropriate. Writing is a really really useful and powerful skill to cultivate; as for me it allows me to communicate ideas, it also makes my thoughts clearer when I pen them down.

Of course I don't literally write 1000 words everyday, if I can do that I'll be a novelist not a tutor and physics student ;D But I commit myself to write frequently. Sometimes I write a lot, sometimes very little, but I try to write consistently.

As for studying during the weekend, really depends on my schedule. Sometimes I study very long like maybe 3-4 hours if I have no other commitments, or very little like 1 hour if I have something on that day. Nonetheless try to make sure you remain consistent in studying so you don't lose touch, and also be flexible with your schedule.

Lol this is amazing. You gotta love one punch man :)

why are people criticizing this as if wyzard is being serious?

It's all right ;D It's great to see what other users think of this "studying regiment" and discuss what are some of the dos and don'ts of studying.

His comment might not have been intentionally racist.  Anything anyone says can be deemed offensive, but hey we live in a democracy, so as adults, move on. No need to start an argument.

Yeah I actually thought what he said was funny ;D No offense taken

Seconded, it's really entertaining, really funny characters and awesome storyline (not to mention his "training regiment" was really motivational). Go watch One-Punch Man!

First, what's important is to make sure you stick to this intense studying regiment. You just have to keep doing it, no matter how hard it gets.

Study Economics for 1 hour!
Study Mathematics for 1 hour!
Read for 1 hour!
And then write 1000 words!
EVERY SINGLE DAY!

The original post I made is a parody of the anime One Punch Man; I parodied his "Training regiment" of the way over-powered main character into studying, so don't take it all too literally and seriously :P
mfw its pretty much how i studied in year 12

I think most people have forgiven you, mate.
Although your comment was of poor taste, it's unlikely the AN community will hang it on you forever

Its okay dude, sometimes we say things that we regret, and people shouldn't hold you for it.

I think we live in a time where anything anyone says can offend someone because of political correctness, be it saying 'I like watching mens cricket more than womens cricket.. what why are you sexist? Or when a panel of humans on a board are all of one ethnicity, and people says wow look racist, there's not enough diversity. We shouldnt ignore this but we shouldnt let others being offended bring us down because people will always get offended, and sometimes we cant do anything about it. So dont worry and just move on. Most of us here are adults and can deal with things (hopefully) so nobody will hold you for this :)

I'm actually very surprised that it got that response - I thought that Asian throwaway lines were common (and acceptable) on this forum, because they're not seen as racist or harmful (are they actually harmful? If so, I'd like to know).  I do think it's a case of overdone political correctness and one-person-downvotes-so-everyone-jumps-on-the-bandwagon, rather than you being a horrible racist which I know didn't even enter your head.  (maybe this is because I'm not Asian? though I like to think I'm open-minded hahaha)

Mod Comment: Alright, closing the discussion on political correctness. If you want to continue it, go to PMs or start a new topic in the water cooler. Remember this thread is a parody about One Punch Man, which in itself is already satirical. Serious discussion will not be allowed.

(Nah, actl srs tho, please keep the discussion geared towards the topic content. Whether serious or not.)
