Well the assistant principal walked out and talked to my dad with me - which I'm taking as a good sign. I'm not sure when the year 10 results are coming out, but I think for the year 11s it shouldn't be longer than two weeks.

Hi Everyone

I just wanted to know what do I have to study for the JMSS test? I am in year 8 this year doing the test next year so I've got a year. Also, if anyone has been to JMSS or goes to JMSS does it have a good school environment? Thanks! What is the exam format?

The exam format goes like this:
Science Reasoning: 30 question / 30 minute test where you have to apply logic to diagrams - much like ICAS Science tests. Most people find this test the easiest.
Numerical Reasoning: 60 question / 30 minute test full of number patterns and puzzles. Make sure to revise number patterns and magic squares as they were very common throughout.
Maths: 60 question / 30 minute test. I can't really explain what's on it as there's a lot of content but mostly year 9/10 maths. I might make a thread talking more in depth about each test.
Essay 1: 5 minutes reading / 25 minutes writing. It's usually a prac but this year it changed and we only needed to write a discussion. The prompt was about students trying to prove the reflection of sound or something, I've forgotten :P
Essay 2: 5 minutes reading / 25 minutes writing. This year we had to only use the information given on a sheet and write up an essay on the coral bleaching towards the Great Barrier Reef. I felt as if this was my worst.

Omg same! What day is yours?
5th of August!  ;D
