Hey guys,
I am currently on the waiting list for the JMSS. Now I have a question that is bugging me a lot.
Do we(second round people) get an rejection email like how others got in the first round? This is the question in my mind. Please do answer. It will help me a lot😞

I'm super pumped for next year!  ;D :). As someone previously asked, anyone have an idea of when the maths methods test is or when we have information night?

Hey! I'd appreciate it so much if you could help me with these questions. I don't understand how to do it, could you please show me how to work it out as well? Thankyou so much

A jewellery store marks up  there goods by 75%. Calculate the cost price of the necklace sold for $56
And
A smartphone has a sale price for $539 after a discount of 22.3% is applied. What was the original marked price of the smartphone? Answer to nearest dollar.

Hey!
In the email from JMSS, it said that only students who have completed year 9 maths can do the methods readiness test. My school is a P-9 school hence we don't have any accelerated maths classes or are allowed to do year 10 maths in general. My school has no year 10 maths what so ever. We just work on year 9 maths and don't have any other choice. Although, I have been told by my teachers that if there was a year 10 maths program I would definitely be a part of it as I am worthy to accelerate. I have also worked on the year 10 textbooks at school, which the teacher is aware of as I was past the year 9 work. Does that mean I can't take the test? This means a lot to me so it would be great if anyone could answer my question ASAP.

As someone asked above, even if you haven't done year 10 maths at school (because there wasn't an option to do so) can you still sit the methods readiness test?

I'm a yr 12 student at JMSS lol not sure why I'm here but

The methods test wasn't too bad if you revised your school math notes.
I can't really remember now but they had stuff like the quadratic formula and trigonometry.

Technically, only students who are currently doing yr 10 extension maths are supposed to go into methods next year, (and they actually check for this) but I know some of my friends that only did yr 9 maths and somehow got into the methods class.
So why not just try your luck?

JMSS methods is death though just a warning
Good job guys for getting in though :D

Does anyone know what topics are covered on the test and will the majority of questions be multiple choice?
