Textbook necessity

Hello,
I'm currently taking the units "BFF1001- foundations of finance" and "AFF1100-introduction to financial accounting", but i have yet purchased the textbooks. I was wondering for those who have purchased the textbooks for these 2 units, is the textbook necessary (as in does the provided notes by the lecturer cover all the content)?

Thank you.

I'm not sure about those subjects, but I'm doing first year Micro, and I didn't buy the book. I'm doing fairly well so far. I have the ebook of a similar book, but I haven't used it as of yet. The lecturer has provided youtube videos and lecture slides that are good enough for now.

It all really boils down to you, and your preferences. Do you feel like you need the book? Everyone learns differently; some from books, some learn by looking online on their own for content etc.

If you are understanding the content and doing well in assessment than you should be fine. Though it can't hurt to go through the readings at the library for 1 week to see if it's helpful or not.
