Right To Get A piece Crossmarked

hey guys,
so my issue is that i believe my current english teachers marking isnt the same as the other teachers that teach the year level. the highest mark in our class was a 23/30 and we had some excptional students in the class, where as others from other classes had much higher marks and one ever 30/30. my teacher claims that they were crossmarked, yet when i asked if i can get it further marked by another teacher he completely denied me. claiming these are final. if that was the case, My question is, is he allowed to do that, or do i have the right to request a remark by another teacher
thanks

I had this issue and can give some advice that worked well for me;

1. You don't need your teacher's permission to have it further marked.

I went above my teacher and took the issue straight to my VCE coordinator. My parents outlined that the work needs to be marked further and the school can either choose to mark it appropriately or we will have it externally marked by another school to show comparison.

Just outline to them that schools can be audited at any time and they should be aiming for consistency between classes.

They won't argue after that
