Help? JMSS Grade 10 Entry for 2017

Hi everyone!  This is my very first post.
Anyway, I've just applied and started preparing for the John Monash Science School entrance exam in June this year.
I've got [literally] 2 months!
So, my main question is, does it matter if I'm only in a normal, grade 9 maths class?
Will this decrease my chances at all?
Also, I'm not too athletic. But I can draw, sing and play piano.
Nevertheless, [I don't mean to sound like a show-off, but...] I usually get an A or A+ for both maths and science... so yeah.

It should not matter. As long as you do the best you can, prepare well and try hard, I am certain you will get in.

Hey guys im also trying out for jmss. I purchased like 3 exam papers online from  https://striveforexcellence.com.au/tests-courses/john-monash-science-school-practice-exams/ and i go to edu kingdom. I was told the edu kingdom test is way harder and i get around the high average mark for maths and numerical.  If you guys have any tips for science reasoning i would really appreciate it.

For science reasoning, you need to be able to interpret graphs, statistics and images quite quickly as they are there in pretty much every question. The test is quite easy, as in theres 20 Q'S to do in 60mins, so make sure to take your time to really understand. ICAS science papers are perfect practice btw!! Try some online samples
