If your trials are on the last few weeks of school then for the 7 days following, you will not even want to do work. If you properly prepared for the trials, you will find that it was somewhat draining. And the exams throw you out of it.

So honestly take a break. After 7 days or so, you can resume your usual holiday studying methods for one week, then back to school for one last term.

[Personally, I did virtually no study (except for work the teachers gave, so rather no personal study) between the trial block and the last day of term 3 because I knew I had four weeks to gun out preparation for the real HSC]

Totally agree with this, take a well earned break. Like Rui I took a massive one after Trials, maybe tidied up my notes a little but besides that didn't do anything extra at all. But then, maybe I didn't get a huge break between Trials and HSC, because I had music performances and body of works to keep me occupied in this time  ::)

In any case, you should definitely rest. Stuff working all out all the way from here to the HSC!

Omg sameeeeee

Totally agree with this. I used to really get serious bouts of 'study guilt' on Fridays for my lack of effective studying. Since the start of Year 12, I always take Friday off and spend it chillaxin - it's so great!

Mate, I'm telling you, grab some flash cards (or my personal favourite, a recording of some study notes) and go for a walk! Otherwise you'll end up like me and put on 7-8kg throughout your HSC  ;)

Aha I lost a decent amount of weight in the HSC; when I study hard, I kind of forget to eat.

Tip to all HSC students; don't be like me. Eat food.

Sounds like one of my friends who just kept stressing the hell out of herself whilst studying for her HSC.

Not sure if you stressed though haha

Hey, when you get offered a free bucket of fried chicken after an 8 hour shift, you don't always make the best decision for your health  ;)

I stress eat - so when I'm stressed out I eat to tame my stress. It's effective in the sense that it allows me to manage stress but oh my God have i become fat...

Let's hope that atar is worth it aye? Can treat myself once i become a doctor ;)

More the merrier  ;)

True! Or, alternatively, give yourself liposuction once you're medically trained?  ;D

I think I'm a reward eater. I believe in rewarding myself after succeeding, great or small. After my HSC I bought a brand new TV and Xbox, for example. But I also give myself little rewards: It just so happens that those little rewards (after, say, an assignment was submitted) was usually food  ;)
