Hello i need some suggestions on easy science subjects (level 1,2 or 3) that will boost my wam.. something along the lines of engineering risk analysis.
Cheers.

Ideally you'd want to pick something that is closely related to your major that will help you a lot with your future career. What kind of engineering are you looking for?

Sorry to say but engineering never has easy subjects. Apart from risk analysis I havnt done a single easy H1 engineering subject but if I were to choose the doable subjects then I'd have:

ENGR20004: engineering materials
Is a decent subject. Easy for engineering standards atleast and has a good content if you're into civil eng

BMEN20001: Biomechanical Physics and computation
Basically is an easier version of eng comp and eng mech. definitely recommend it

is engineering materials easier than fluid mechanics or eng mech?

I think it depends on what type of subjects you find easy
Content wise it is far easier than fluid and eng Mech which require a shit ton of self study and conceptual thinking

My internals for eng materials sort of let me down because I got too lazy and lenient with this subject

fluids was easier for me than eng mech, but yea i agree internals are defs inportant when taking these subjects.
I think i will chose between eng mat and eart processes for engineerig now (have you done it.. Easier than eng materials?).
Easy for me is basically easy maths like the quantitative part in risk analysis LOL

Lol do NOT do Earth processes
Probably one of the worst subjects I have ever done at uni.
It has 5 huge pain in the ass assignments that just get in the way for you to actually learn the content. The topics aren't too hard but there's a lot more theory for this, and that's why I didn't do too well

Ohh and it's probably one of the worst taught subjects at uni

Eng materials has pretty easy maths. Most of the questions are just like using 2 formulas
It has 3 topics
1. Construction materials (mostly theory but not too hard)

2.  Material chemistry (taught terribly but the lecture slides were good enough to learn everything)

3. Mechanics of materials (pretty easy. Basically just mohr circles and easy mechanics)

And I agree, fluid was only easier than eng mech because it was taught better.

thanks for warning me!
if you're still considering your subjects this one looks alright. look at the past exams, very similar to eng mech https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/view/2016/MCEN30017

Already done mechanics and materials
Last sem
It was alright, a lot of content though but was still interesting enough to pay some attention

Eng Materials is definitely easy and more straightforward than Processes so long as you keep up to date. Lectures aren't the best, but content itself is fairly straightforward. @QUADRATUS, didn't have the same experience as you in Earth Processes though. Ended up quite liking the subject, bar perhaps the first two assignments which were horrible I'll admit. Rest of the subject was pretty good though, and whilst the tutorials weren't the best, lectures were pretty well taught in my experience.

First 2 assignments were a disaster.
Actually the whole subject was a disaster,
The content was okay, especially the geotechnical stuff towards the end but that's just it. I rekon the lectures were only considered okay because the content was easy

The assignments (apart from the very last one) just got in the way in actually learning the content, and the tutors were also terrible, I had this guy named David and never answered any question I had, nor did he ever follow the marking rubric (which most people used as a guideline to do the horrible assignments), which lead to me losing unnecessary marks in the assignments

Yep. Still don't understand why we had the first two assignments. Last two at least, content was used in the exam. Plus that Mohr's question at the end omg, was worth like 1/3 of the exam. Luckily had past exam ans, and the question was exactly the same as 2011 i think. Whilst the excel manipulation and basic coding was good to learn in assignment 1 and 2, the sheer volume of data that we had to process was absolutely ridiculous. Yeah, fair call. Can't say the subject itself was too tough, but I guess having done M&M in sem 1 this year as well, I came to appreciate the cohesiveness of Earth Processes as a whole at least. Lectures actually talked to each other, were organised and ensured things were taught properly. Personally found the lectures interesting at least, and Sam's lectures in particular were really well done, even if he was a tad hard to understand at times.
Unfortunate on the tutorials. I had Adrian, the head tutor, who also takes like 75-80% of the tutes. So you likely were just really unlucky. Whilst subject reviews have been critical of him in the past, found that he's a massive help so long as he sees you're actively putting in effort to learn.
