marks needed to transfer question

so i want to transfer to a new course and it says "achieved a distinction average or better across all university units" Does this mean if i get a mark below 70 in any unit i am not considered? My average at the moment is literally 69.50 which is because i got a couple of credits, but i also got a couple of distinctions. Im pretty confident i can get it above 70, but do all my units have to be distinction or just the average?

Unfortunately yes.

If you are a little bit below it , it doesn't matter. But 5 is fairly big.

Yes to which part? That you need all your units to be above distinction or have an average of above 70?

Do you get considered for such course if your units are 50,51,52,52,98,98,98,98? Thats an average of 74. Can you apply with that? Or not because in this hypothetical situtation 4 of my units werent distinction?

No - distinction (70+) average across all units. If you achieved (say for one semester worth of units a.k.a 4), 71 71 71 69 (that averages out to 70.5 so you'd be considered still). Whether or not you'd actually get it even with that is questionable though - it all depends on course numbers and other transfers too. I'm assuming that is just a benchmark for consideration only (not a guaranteed transfer).

Are you changing universities as well or not? You might be able to negotiate something with the faculty if it's an internal transfer - but external transfer, unlikely. You can always ask the uni whether they'll grant entry (you have nothing to lose).

Ah okay. That makes sense. I just thought that the minimun was to get distinction in every unit. Its all good tho, i need to do another semester to transfer anyway, so ill try my best and try to get it above 70
