Good evening people! Just wanted to ask, this year ive managed 2 Bs, mainly Cs and C+s, and some Ds. It is term3, start of unit 4, and i wanted to ask, is a 85 atar still possible? i have around 4 sacs left for every subject till exams ( studio arts, further maths, english, biology, business management ).

im stressing so much, and i naturally worry heaps. if i can make the 85, whats the max i can bring home?

warmest regards, clark.

Frankly, no one knows.

But thoroughly prepare for your upcoming SACs as well as the exam. Do that (well) and I don't see why you wouldn't get an >85 ATAR :)

Also don't worry too much even if you don't end up with a >85 ATAR, as you can readily transfer into nearly any uni course after a semester or year at uni without wasting any time whatsoever (it's what I did!). Once you understand that, then it should help you relax and enable you to perform your Year 12 with a less stressed mind :).

Hopefully this gives you some reassurance buddy..

So I had a friend who almost failed the first SAC in all his Maths/Science subjects. Slowly but surely through the help of teachers, YouTube and an external tutor, he was able to improve his grades and soon was doing rather good. He had a few shaky grades in there, but the point was he was improving. Come exam time, he really knuckled down, and managed to score a 90+ ATAR.

Though I'm not going to lie, it's not magic. It requires a commitment, dedication, hard work and time. You aren't going to turn around over night. However should you put in all the hard effort and focus on improving yourself and maximising your marks as much as possible, then you can easly expect to see a rather dramatic improvement.

The most important think is to have a goal, and really work towards it. Do what you must to help yourself in terms of trying to remember the content, applying it, or preforming in a test. The future is unknown, but the only thing you can do is really work towards achieving what you want and I'm sure in the end it will all work out.

Best of luck! :)
The GOAL: Attain a RAW study score of 40+ in all my subjects.

Courses I would like to study in order of preference include: Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Biomedicine or Bachelor of Science.

2014: Biology [42]
2015: English Language [??] | Chemistry [??] | Physics [??] | Mathematical Methods (CAS) [??] | Specialist Mathematics [??]

Thanks for all of this guys, i seriously appreciate it! but the only problem is, im sitting on a 50 atar right now, and im really really worried because i might not get 85+. Im looking at doing the business specialist course doubled with an I.T course. Its requirements are around 85, but for disdvantaged suburbs or schools, its 75. So im just really worried if i dont breach in between 75 and 85, but ill be doing whatever it takes to get there. I just need to know if its possible  :)

Make sure you put down some other courses when you do your preferences via VTAC - e.g. Bachelor of Business Info Systems at various unis and so on. You can also get in via other pathways - plenty of ways to get into an IT related course. All the best :)
