if you look around the victorian technical discussion board you will see lots of people asking this question and similiar questions.
in short an atar of 80 is very achievable. 80 is an atar level that most people can achieve even if they've done shit sacs all year but come in and blast the exam getting A+ for everything.
when you ask "how do i get this?" theres no real answer LOL its so subjective on everything
but you asked the question and since you did i will give you an arbitrary semi-meaninglessbecausethereisnocontext "correct" answer.
i'd say if you do 3 hours of study per day, every day, you will most likely get over 80. I dont know anyone who studied that hard and got less than 80. i know people who did barely any study and got over 90 and people who did maybe like an hour a day (you have to do more on weekends naturally), every day, and got like 80.75 (unlucky sacs and exams)

An ATAR of 80 isn't too hard to get.

Get some okay ranks, do decently in your exams and you're set.

By okay I mean top 30% and by decently I mean 75-85%.

It is really difficult to determine "is it hard to get x atar with y subjects and w scores" simply because of the change in abilities/exams each year.

Having said that, an atar of 80 is DEFINITELY within your grasp.
You do not have to be that smart to get an atar of 80 (let me explain) you just have to be committed and dedicated to your studies. Sure, talent in a subject will drive you well, but some things in life (a high ATAR as one of them) not necessarily goes to the most intelligent people but the ones that are able to be 'smart' in exams. Trying hard and getting help where need be, you know, all the stuff your teachers always tell you.

Be confident and believe in yourself and you will find you might very well get an atar above 80. It may not be an easy path, but set yourself goals (short and long term) and stick to them, youll be amazed with what the results are!

Best of luck and just know that in you, you have the capability to get well above 80.
Always here to help if you need 👍🏼:D :)
