Napoleon’s rise to power was ruthless and brutal. Do you agree?
....That is the question and below is my intro...please provide feedback it is terrible and i need help to improve....Thanks a mill guys!!!

Napoleon the Berkshire boar who eventually became the totalitarian leader of Animal farm, rose to power through a sequence of ruthless and brutal events. George Orwell, the author of Animal farm, was anti-totalitarianism and perfectly portrays in Animal Farm just how vicious and merciless a person has to be to become a solitary leader. Hidden behind a mass of ruthless propaganda spread by Squealer, Napoleon manipulates the Animals ‘dream’ to place himself in total and absolute power. Napoleon, like Stalin during the Russian Revolution, eliminated his opposition before being able to gain complete control, to do this Napoleon used his personal pack of dogs to brutally tear his opposition apart. By slowly diverting from Old Major’s revered dream, Napoleon is able to secure the animals’ trust in his corrupted system of Animalism without compassion for the animals’ true beliefs. With hunger for power Napoleon takes the ruthless and brutal measures to secure the power over Animal farm for himself.

I am correcting according to my study design and am unsure wether this feedback would be relevant to you.

George Orwell, the author of Animal farm, was anti-totalitarianism and perfectly portrays in Animal Farm just how vicious and merciless a person has to be to become a solitary leader.

I feel like that you intend to write you contextual overview here. If so then the first sentence is not needed. Otherwise, if your first sentence is your contention, then make it clear it's you contention. I am okay most of that underlined sentence, but the word "has" implies a do it or else, meaning that being vicious and merciless is the only way to be a solitary leader, which is actually an arguable concept.

With you contextual overview, you will need to talk about the time frame in which it is set. This does not mean that you can't talk about the fictional setting. To do this, I suggest you use the fact that Animal Farm is an allegorical novel about Soviet Russia and the totalitarian regime that reigns. Example:

Set in the fictional "Manor Farm," representing the tyrannical regime of the communist Soviet Russia, George Orwell's anti-totalitarian novel Animal Farm reveals the increasingly brutal regime in which the animals are placed under.

Remember that this is just an example (I'll guess that other students around this forum could do much better than that).

:) Now I know exactly what you're going to be talking about in the essays. You have clearly stated the contention of you essay so you should be fine here. Just remember to make your point clear in a SAC/Exam/test situation, which I know is very difficult due to the time constraints.
