100%...

there will be no minimum other than 100% since no exam score is going to guarantee you a 50 :P It varies every year and you also have to take sacs into account since thats a solid 34%.

Honestly, just aim to get 100% on the exam. Like don't look for a minimum score just aim to get as close to 100 as possible. But like in general, losing 1-2 marks will still snag you the 50 usually.

Does this still work even if you haven't done too well on the SACs (rank middle of cohort)? Obviously not to get a 50, but what about a 40+?

Ok, thanks :) Because I'm in the middle of my class, but our SACs are suuuuuper hard and I have a pretty strong cohort, so that bumps up my chance of 40+ right?

for biology sacs are 40%

20% Unit 3
20% Unit 4
60% exam

Even though theoretically the "minimum" is 100% it is extremely rare for anyone to get 100% on a biology exam the marking is just too strict and inconsistent. Even the extremely top end students will lose half marks with one examiner giving them full marks for a question and the other taking a mark off.

Yeah I dont think even the premier award winner got 100%
My advice is to forget the minimum score and focus on getting as close to 100% as possible. That mentality is helpful for a 50

I feel bio exams have gotten slightly easier since they combined the units together which have increased cut-offs but when there were mid year exams some people lost nearly 10/150 and got premiers.
