Yeah, I live in the Urban Community! I do like living here, and I think it has some definite advantages. The new halls (Campbell, Logan, Turner and Holman) are incredibly close to the campus centre, and you have absolutely everything you need. Your room has a kitchenette and an ensuite and access to a lot of amenities like a bigger wing kitchen, a games room, a common room, a music room, a laundry, a barbecue area, and then a heap of activities and events within the hall. If you want a social experience it can be a social experience but equally if you're very study centric or already have a close knit group of friends you can choose to keep to yourself more. That probably forms the biggest downside, that compared to the old halls, there is less of an established hall culture, and the self contained apartments mean you don't have to come out unless you really want to which is why a lot of people say the old halls are more fun and more social.
