Hey guys, I've chosen The Little Prince as my ORT for The Tempest and need help with themes and links amongst the two texts.
Is anyone else using this as a related text? If so, please reply! :)

I love The Little Prince, that's such a cool related text! Unfortunately I haven't studied The Tempest so I can't offer any help, but hopefully someone chimes in to help you out soon! Read as much as you can about the themes of both texts online and it can sometimes help to do a brainstorm of every kind of discovery from both texts and then see if anything is similar or completely different.  :)

Hey, Samuel Coleridge has some really awesome poetry!
Did you use this in the Trial exams? Did it work well for you? :)

Hey! It's alright that you haven't studied the Tempest, maybe you could help with themes of discovery in The Little Prince?

Just a question about the Tempest,
Is the actual 'Tempest' in the Tempest play, the magic, or the boat, or the magic that Ariel casts on the Boat?
Thank you

The 'Tempest' refers to the storm at the beginning of the play. This is the central figure of the happenings within the play, as it brings about all its major events. This is then linked back to Prospero being the harbinger of the tempest, so if anything other than the storm, you could interpret the 'Tempest' as being Prospero's magic.

For other related texts, I did "The Good Morrow" by John Donne (spiritual discovery) and "It's a matter of life" (you can find this clip on youtube).
I would really recommend the second one as it is only a 5 minute story and is really easy to analyse and remember if they ask for two related texts.  :)

Hey Hua Fei.
I'm really sorry to say but I went on my teacher's link to try and see if I typed it correctly (which I did) it said that it was taken down due to copyright claims :(

But here's another short fim (which does work  ;D ) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iiO2xZYtZg
Again another simple discovery which is easy to analyse. Hope this helped :)

Hey Stefan!
Thanks a lot for the link - its a great last-minute related text to look at especially when there's a limited time left. Once again, thanks!   :)
