For 15, do you read the question as being charge 54 cents for ANY PART of the 30 seconds? I read it to mean you pay the 'part' of the 30 seconds that you talk; ie. half of the 54 cents for 15 seconds. I could be wrong in that reading?

For 19, in my stats course, you take the medium value not including the first and medium terms for each quartile. Is it not the same in General Maths?

21 could absolutely be different, I tried looking up how those sorts of tables work but I've never done anything like it. Could you post up your working/solutions for the questions you disagree with?

Possibly (27) (e) (iii)
Departs Melbourne at 11:30pm which is 5:30pm Dubai Time. Add a 15 hour flight and that's 8:30am Saturday?

so the way i did 19 was 54 cents per part 30 seconds or thereof

since theres 2 minutes and 15 seconds

that would equal to 2 minutes and 30 seconds cause part thereof

so 0.54 x 5 = 2.7

for general

the 5 number i think is lowest extreme, q1, median, q3, and highest extreme

for the mean one you use your calculator and use class centers

For sure; I someone added two hours somewhere when I did my flight time! Should read 8:30am, not 10:30am :) Well spotted! Keep em coming people, you're the experts!

Look, that sounds right to me! I think I just read Q15 differently, but you're likely right. Would you say 19 is A?

yup since there's 9 numbers

2, 3, 3, 3, 5, 5, 8, 9, 12

median would be 5 since its the middle number

q1 would be 3+3/2 = 3

q3 would be 8+9/2 = 8.5

Ah cool cool, happy to accept that! Sorry about that, I've just learned it a bit differently in my University course. Sounds like you absolutely smashed the exam!

In question 22 of the multiple choice, each line in the box and whisker plots represents 1/4 of the data. So that means you find 1/4 of 112 = which is 28. In geography we can see that 1/2 of the class got above 30 (1/4+1/4) and seeing as they say there is the same amount that got above 30 it must mean that answer is (C) 56 ( 2 * 28 = 56) hope you get it you might be able to word it better.

That definitely makes sense! Not an easy question at all, great job getting it!

Aha no you don't seem ungrateful at all! There were always going to be mistakes; I was relying on students like you to pick them up. Seriously, thanks for your contribution, and feel free to drop in any more!
