Exam 2 potential questions

Hey guys, since exam 1 is done and dusted, I thought why not focus all this (B or D :']) energy on something more productive. I know most people say whatever isn't tested in exam 1 will most probably (but not 100%) be tested in exam 2. So, I thought it'd be a good idea for everyone to put their 2c in and we can go thru the main things that may come in exam 2.

So, I'll start off. I don't think anything on communication matrices came on exam 1, so we can most probably expect it in exam 2.

(The more diverse the modules, the better for everyone! Don't be afraid to post your thoughts below)

I think we will definitely be required to do a feasible region question (shading in and out) for graphs and relations!

Are people going to be writing in pen or pencil?

On the sample exam 2, it was clearly stated that u have to use either black or blue pen. Also, I went to a lecture recently and the lecturer (who is also an examiner) said that since this year, they are scanning all exams and sending them to the examiners instead of giving out physical copies.
So, I'm definitely going to write in pen to not have any chance of a mishap happening

Edit: I also think for core financial, a question on the 'extra payment' will come. It was in the sample exam and wasn't tested in exam 1

Very scared to use pen! I've done a practise exam but I'm the kind of person who always changes my answers/does very messy working out so I'm scared using pen will cause my paper to not be legible at all :(

Yes! Those 'how much will the last payment' be questions! Also think they'll ask something along the lines of 'how much total interest has been paid on this loan/ recieved from this investment'

And some mean/median smoothing questions!

Even if you use pencil you should be fine i think, i used pencil for my exam and it turned out fine. The only thing is, if you write too lightly when the paper is scanned examiners may not be able to read what you've written. Just make sure your writing is dark enough when you do the exam.

For networks it's highly likely that there will be a question on Dijkstra's algorithm, since it's new to the study design this year and it wasn't tested on Exam 1.

I reckon there'll be a question on simultaneous equations using matrix representation.

Totally forgot about that, that has to be in the exam for matrices. Good one!🏻

Also, make sure that your pencil doesn't smudge because an answer that's been smudged out (and can't be read) in transition to VCAA HQ (or wherever it is our exams go to) is one that won't get you marks!

For Module Geometry & Measurement....Angles of Elevation & Depression, Bearings, Volume, Surface Area, Arc Length, Area of a Sector/Segment, Distance along a meridian, Distance between 2 points on the equator, Distance from a pole or from the equator, Distance along a parallel of latitude

For the Core....Data Transformation wasn't really covered....basically everything else from Core was covered....except what has already been mentioned
