Matrices question about bookings and their costs
G = [40 25 15 30]
H? = lol my makeshift matrix
[85]
[38]
[24]
[43]

If J = GxH, what does J represent?
J = [6000]
The total cost of all the bookings for one month
_ _ _

Some transition matrix about Air, ? , Sea and No travel
The matrix on the right was the number of people surveyed or something in 2017

Find the matrix R2018
R2018 = TxR2017
[478]
[298]
[94]
[130]

Show that in 2017 478 people travelled by Air
(0.65 x 520) + (0.25 x 320) + (0.25 x 80) + (0.5 x 80) = 478

How many customers travelling by Sea  in 2018?
(OH My GOD I READ the wrong one I think goddddamnit I wrote 298)
94? if S was the third one

Find how many customers in 2018 travelling with Air came from travelling with Air in 2017
This I wasn't sure of, so help me out ^^

520 in 2017, 478 in 2018, right?
From the transition matrix we see that from this year to next A to A is 0.65
I did 0.65 x 520 = 338
338/478 x 100 = 70.7% (needed to round up to whole number)
= 71%

For the lump sum question, do you get both marks if you got the right answer without the method? Because I got the answer then saw it was a 2 mark question, and then I couldn't remember what I'd done apart from $54151.60 - $25947.57 and so that's all the working I had...
I think the two marks are having the working out for PV and FV, and the right lump sum rounded, so I think you should be safe!

Can you still get 45+ if you lost 3 marks over all in both exams and are rank 2?
This looks really promising c: I read somewhere on here the total marks you lose gives you a rough estimate to how many points you lose off your study score from those expecting 40-50? You didn't hear that from me though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh crap 😭😭 I screwed up the unit cost depreciation question! Somehow managed to get  $4.50 per km? But sounds way off now! Argghg
Aww. You did 5000km over the whole 8 years! That's what I did initially but I was like.. hang on. That's like 600 km per year, I think they'd drive a little more than that? Unless that's the actual answer because the wording was weird. It was like. "x travels 500km over each of the 8 years".. and I was like.. every 8 years? Every year for 8 years? Tell me VCAA haha but I went with my instincts

Would it be possible for a copy of the exam to be put up?

I'm not in touch with enough VCAA members to provide suggested solutions similarly to most of us however I think we can discuss some of our results for some of the questions we remember?

What did everyone get for the last question; that is, the new equation 42,000=m400+n100, what were the new prices you got? Some people I know have got $84 for both, some got $80 for X and $100 for Y. (Btw the equation must equal 42,000). If I missed any important information, quote me x
cause the point (400,100) is not special point , the objective profit equation gradiant must equal to the line (400,100)lies on, which means gradient is -1 so m=n. if people got 80 for x 100 for y the gradient of the objective equation is -0.8  (p-80x)/100  the maximum profit should be the point (300,200)which gives maximum profit44000.
In all m should=n as 84

I'm so mad at myself right now. I calculated the matrix for 2018 and wrote that down but forget to specify the number of people travelling by sea. Hopefully I can still get 1 mark for my matrix calculation.

Depends on the exam this year but this would probably land you ~46

Don't stress at all, i wrote in pencil for my exams last year and it turned out fine. As long as it isn't smudged and dark enough for assessors to read.

Can someone give me an estimate SS if i'm rank 2 but didn't lose any marks in exams? (possibly lost 1 if the answer to question 2 in exam 1 was D and not B!)
50 or 49 worst case scenario

Wondering what SS i'd be on track to get if during UNIT 3-4 i averaged about 80 during the year, 33 out of 40 on part 1 and it looks like 53-54 out of 60 on part 2?

Made that mistake as well. 5000km for the 8 years instead of 5000km each year over the 8 years.
