What do we think a 27-28/40 would be in terms of grades? Does anyone think it still possible/impossible to achieve a 40+ with such an Exam 1 result regardless of Exam 2? (SACs averaging low to mid A).
 :-X

I am in the exact same boat, I would like an answer to this  :) would help out

So for Q1 b I left my answer as 2e^5 + 5e^5 for some reason I will never know lol. Do you think I would still get the 2/2 if I had everything else correct?

I think the examiners will want the answer in simplest form but they might.

For the avg value q, If i have the correct integration formula, but when i'm subbing in values I put positive 1/2 instead of -1/2, and consequently get the answer wrong, would this be 1/3 marks?

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's all over for me, the year's worth of hard work all goes down the drain after panicking and blanking out on exam 1.

Oh god no :(( I made SO many silly mistakes on that exam that I probably cost me 12ish marks. God dammit, I used the product rule for the first question instead of the quotient rule. I am so screwed :(

I know someone who got 42 in 2014 with 28-29/40 E1 and 78.5/80 E2, so yes it's possible!

(pretty much need to ace E2 though)

if u full mark exam 2 tmr, yeh 40 is possible with 12 marks dropped across both exams (28/40 and 80/80) , but like borderline 40 i think, and yeah full marking exam 2.... ahahha hard sht

Yes changing that log is ok.

Does anyone know if its ok to call (0,0) a 'local minimum (minimum turning point)'?

I ended up doing alright on the exam, surprised there were no population proportion or confidence interval questions.
Butchered the the rule, and domain of the inverse k function though. Also I think I wrote down that the stationary point was a maximum even though I drew up a gradient table showing it was a minimum (I don't even...). Can't remember what I wrote for the last part of Q8.
Should be in the A range though, going off solutions that have been posted.
