thanks so much! never knew you could overprepare lol
what did you do to improve sections 1 and 2? I think medentry's helping for section 3 but for the other two sections, not really tbh
and speedreading, observing my friends and reading fiction doesn't cut it for me
With section 1, it's just about understanding what they could throw at you - that's all the prep you can do. Then,
it's all about the day and forgetting all the previous questions you've encountered and their difficulty - so what I mean by this, is that the UMAT test is different from any prep you could possibly do, and as a result its actually quite simpler than what you'd previously encounter. So don't go in with the mindset that its like your practice tests because it isnt, it's actually quite easier in many cases.
Section 2: for me personally, I've always had a pretty decent understanding of people, so the biggest challenge for me was interpreting emotion on page and trying to conjure a real life image or scenario that I could extract my understanding from. I found it hard to read something on paper and see all the emotion behind it, so that's something I had to practice.
So try find out what your weakness is - and you can do that by doing the questions!!
Not saying don't do the questions - just be wary of overstudying, always keep an eye out for your weaknesses and hone in on them after you've had some exposure to questions
